TRIAS carried out the project in the underground spaces of the Łódź Cathedral Basilica of St. Stanisław Kostka. The adjoining multimedia room features a 36-metre screen arranged in a semi-circle, along with equipment for multimedia projections delivering not only sound and light effects, but also scent.
The installation is designed to promote knowledge about the Łódź Cathedral Basilica. It consists of a short 2-minute film presenting the Centrum Idei “Towards multi-culturalism” project, as well as a historical section (18 minutes). The latter is based primarily on archival iconographic materials from the cathedral archives, illustrating the construction process and the early years of the Basilica’s existence.
The film, created as part of the Regional Operational Programme of the Łódź Voivodeship, presents the key concepts implemented simultaneously in Łask, Łódź, and Piotrków Trybunalski.
